About Me

My name is Danielle and I live in Ohio with my husband, who is a Physical Therapist, and our 7 children. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist who has been practicing for over 20 years. I have a Masters degree from Cleveland State University, and am currently working on my Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree at Northwestern University. I have treated children and adults in schools, hospitals, residential facilities, nursing homes, and home healthcare and am licensed in the state of Ohio. I own a Speech-Language Pathology private practice called Bright Ideas Speech Therapy where I specialize in home based pediatric early language, and pediatric and adult Dysphagia management. My favorite part of treating feeding and swallowing disorders is helping parents learn to feed their child, and adults return to eating safely. Early language development is so important. There is nothing like watching a parent’s face when their child says their first word, and seeing the child’s development blossom! I have a particular interest in parent and caregiver training and patient empowerment. My goal is to raise awareness of language, feeding, and swallowing disorders, and help all patients and families understand the terminology and processes so they can advocate for gold-standard care. Every patient deserves the best care no matter where they live, who they are, or what they can afford.
